Mitch Melodia is a musician, author, and Jenga enthusiast calling Denver, Colorado home. The publication of his debut science fiction novel called The Battle for the Moon: Part I coincided with completing the recordings for his debut album Atomic Pathways. It was the first time Mitch arranged, performed, and produced all the parts for each song on the record. Some of his main musical influences include Led Zeppelin, Khruangbin, the Grateful Dead, Tame Impala, Pearl Jam, and other psych, prog, jazz, jam, rock, and acoustic based artists.
“Mitch’s solos hit like a huge dose of serotonin to the brain.”
- Aaron Mitta, The Equinox
Through the funk rock band Polysanto and solo shows, Mitch has been able to perform at various venues, breweries, festivals, and farmers’ markets in Colorado and surrounding states. He recently released his debut full length album Atomic Pathways on 2/1/25 that was met with a raving review from AudioFuzz. The collection contains all original songs outside of a compositional rearrangement of Pink Floyd’s “Money,” recorded nearly 50 years to the date after the release of Dark Side of the Moon. An official music video for the revamped classic was released a week after Atomic Pathways.
“A rising star blending psych rock and innovation.” - AudioFuzz
His second novel The Battle for the Moon: Part II is set for release in the Summer of 2025. Between solo acoustic shows, his solo band Melodia and the Bigfoot Photographers, Polysanto, and the books he writes and publishes, Mitch states that one of his main personal and professional goals is to consistently become the highest donor to the non profit called Conscious Alliance year after year.
Atomic Pathways is available to stream worldwide and can be downloaded for free at his website mitchmelodia.com/music
