California-based husband-and-wife duo Andrew Stern and Laura Arias of 3 Pairs of Boots share a talent for pairing catchy melodies with heartfelt messages. Influenced by genre-bending acts like Buffalo Springfield and the Byrds as well as country bards Johnny Cash and Emmylou Harris, 3 Pairs of Boots are rooted in rock-and-roll, with catchy melodic hooks and engaging lyrics pulled from both history and modern life. Main songwriter Stern crafts songs that showcase lead singer Arias’s distinctive vocals, together creating the band’s compelling, Americana-leaning blend of folk, rock, and country. After releasing their 2019 debut album Gone South, Arias and Stern developed YouTube series Cook'N' & Country, pairing cooking with live country music. They released sophomore 3 Pairs of Boots album Long Rider in January 2021, a bluesy collection named after “Lady Long Rider” Bernice Ende. During the 2021 quarantine, Arias and Stern produced three outstanding Livestream shows from their home studio. They also wrote, recorded, and produced Mighty Love, their third full-length album set for release this fall. Mighty Love introduces fresh instrumentation (keys, organ, horns, string quartet, banjo, Rhodes piano) in addition to acoustic and electric guitar, revealing the duo’s expanded palette, elevated songwriting, and next-level production.
