Malea "One Hot Mess" lyric video
Malea is a Los Angeles-based artist that has been making a name for herself both musically and cinematically for many years. Her time spent on Broadway and TV sets helped her develop into a confident leading lady, and once she picked up the guitar the results were immediate. Her first offering, True Believer, charted AC and AAA radio. This opened the door for her to support artists like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Rusted Root, and Liz Phair on tour. She then linked up with producer Mark Needham (Chris Isaak, Lindsey Buckingham, The Killers) to produce Prism, her latest, and strongest, effort yet.
Like her previous single, “Give,” Malea has also turned the dynamic single “One Hot Mess” over to her vast connection of producers and friends and produced a remix that rivals the original. For the visual, Malea has put together one of the most vibrant and colorful videos we’ve seen yet. The lyric video has become its own sort of art form in recent years. As motion graphics have evolved and directors have become ever more adept at crafting visuals, the lyric video has gone from text on the screen to their own works of art. “One Hot Mess” is no different. The video combines an endless arrangement of vibrant colors, chalkboard style lyrics splashing across the screen in a variety of neon colors, and a plethora of animation techniques that ride the visuals over the top from the first note until the screen goes dark.
